| Stinger Bale Transport and
Stinger Stacker |
| Q: Does a Stinger stack bales or does it just
transport the bales off of the field? |
| A: Yes! We have two basic designs -
Stinger Stacker and Stinger Bale Transport. We also have a
Stinger Economy-400 Model Bale Transport that is designed for
smaller operations. |
|
| Q: How many bales will the Stinger handle?
Are there adjustments required to change bale sizes? |
| A: A Stinger can handle 8 4x4's, 8 or 12 3x4's, and 12 3x3's and
(depending on the size) 8 round bales. The only requirement to
change bale sizes is to add or remove cylinder stops for our new (500) models. |
|
| Q: Do the bales have to be speared perfectly
in order to make a good stack? |
| A: No. The Stinger Stacker has
squeeze rails that center the bales immediately before stacking.
The squeeze rails are 9'6" apart - for an 8' bale, you could
be as much as a foot and a half from center and still make a perfect
stack. Field and road conditions may cause bales to shift on
the bed of our machine (or a competitors). So it is important
to know that you are making a perfectly centered stack in the stack
yard - not on your machine in the field. |
|
| Q: Can I stack my bales on the twine?
Can I stack on edge? |
 |
| A: Yes, the quarter bale turn is standard equipment on
all Stinger Stacker models - and it can be turned on or off with the
flip of a switch. With the Stinger, you can do whatever is
right for your operation, not what a salesman tells you is best.
If you want to stack on edge, on the twine, or only the bottom bale (or
two!) on edge...you can with the Stinger Stacker. |
|
 |
Q: Can the Stinger pick up bales in line with the baler? |
| A: The spear tilt front-end is the standard equipment on
a Stinger. However, we do make a squeeze tilt for the
front end for customers who need the ability to approach bales at
any angle. |
|
| Q: How fast can I handle bales with a Stinger? |
| A: This of course, depends on many factors, but you can expect
to average at least 75 (4x4) bales per hour. The Stinger is
more than twice as fast as many other machines when loading bales in
the field-where most of the time is spent. To give you an idea
of the speed, the cycle time for picking up one bale is 10 seconds
(up and back down) and it takes a beginning operator 60 seconds to stack a full Stinger
load. This will help you figure how many bales per hour you
can expect for your conditions. |
|
| Q: I make 5-1/2 foot silage bales and haul them to a wrapper.
How well will a Stinger work in my operation? Can it handle
wet bales? |
 |
| A: With some competitive machines
(assuming they will even pick up short bales), you must stack the bales...take
down the stack with the loader...and load them into the wrapper.
The Stinger provides non-stop loading and unloading of bales, which
is ideal for getting your hay put up quickly. The new
design slide oiler eliminates bales sticking to the slide if they are extremely
wet. It is operated with a push button, is cleaner and more efficient and comes standard on all new
models. Stingers can handle bales as short as you need to make
them. If you don't want to make short bales, the Stinger
Cube-Line 4000 Bale Wrapper will handle 8-foot long bales 3-high
(2-high with 4x4's). |
|
| Q: Can I put a Stinger on
my own truck? What type of chassis works best? |
| A: We can mount a Stinger on many
different styles of chassis. There are limitations and
requirements for cab height, load ratings, etc. You should
contact us for more information on what
type of chassis to look for. Crane Carrier Company
manufactures the LE Hay Loader Chassis to our specifications.
This is not a highway vehicle adapted for field use, it is a
heavy-duty off-road chassis with a center mounted cab designed to
handle nearly any situation you get into in the field. |
|
| Q: Does the Stinger carry bales in
stacks on the bed? |
| A: No, the machine carries bales one
high on the bed. The bales cannot fall over and cause wasted
time and effort. |
|
| Q: I don't put up many bales and I have
a low budget, is there a Stinger for me? |
| A: Absolutely! Our Stinger
Economy-400 Model is designed for smaller operations. We also
have used units and trade-in machines available. See the IN
STOCK NEW & USED section of our website or contact us for more details. |
|
| Q: Are there any Stinger dealers or do
I have to buy direct? |
| A: Many Stingers are purchased directly
from the factory, but we do have dealers in certain areas of the
country. Contact us to see if there is a dealer in your area. |
|
| Q: Do you ship to foreign countries? |
| A: There are Stingers operating in many
parts of the world. See the AROUND THE WORLD section of the
website for more information. |

|
| Stinger Cube-Line 4000 Wrapper |
| Q: How many bales can be wrapped with
the Cube-Line Wrapper ? |
| A: The machine will handle 4x4's
two-high and 3x3's and 3x4's three-high-all up to 8-feet long.
Wrapping in two and three high stacks helps you keep your wrapping
costs down compared to other systems. |
|
| Q: How many film stretchers are on the
Wrapper? |
| A: The Cube-Line 4000 has four film
stretchers. Using four film stretchers provides for a faster
and more efficient operation. The Cube-Line is 33% faster than
competitive models with only three stretchers and 100% faster than
those with two. |
